Welcome to HUGEFISH

I'm Dan Fellini, a senior web developer living here in Portland, OR. I work in a lot of technologies, but mainly JavaScript, React, Next.js, WordPress and, behind it all, Linux.

I've been at this for a few years. In fact, my first foray into the 'online' world came in the 80s, when I ran a relatively successful BBS off a Commodore 64 and two floppies. It was called The Kingdom, for reasons that escape me at the moment. Anyway, it was a huge success that landed me $0 when I sold the company. And by 'sold the company' I mean disappeared into obscurity.

It happens.

Since then, I've gone on to a modestly successful, if not brief, career as a newspaper reporter/editor, and from there I jumped straight back into technology.

Skipping over the next few dozen years we land at today.

This site is really here as a placeholder, for now. While I don't generally accept paid projects, I do make exceptions for things that are super interesting and don't interfere with my work-life balance. Which, in reality, is already out of balance.
